Eduardo Cabra, co-founder of Calle 13, is a Puerto Rican musician and multi-award-winning producer. With 28 Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, including two for Producer of the Year, he has collaborated with artists such as Jorge Drexler, Monsieur Periné, Vicente García, Elsa y Elmar, Cuarteto de Nos, Ruben Blades, Buika, De la Ghetto, Louta, Silvio Rodriguez, Beyonce, Rita Indiana, and many others. In 2020, he ventured into his solo career, releasing his first album ''CABRA'' under his owns label ''La Casa del Sombrero,'' earning a 2021 Latin Grammy nomination. The solo journey continued with ”MARTINEZ,” second album of the project, nominated for Best Alternative Music Album in the Latin Grammys 2023 and Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album in the Grammys in 2024. With 50 total combined nominations, including eight as Producer of the Year, Cabra remains one of the most influential voices in the latin music industry. In 2021, the album CABRA was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards as Best Alternative Music Album. Plus, in 2022, Cabra has been nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards as Producer of the Year for his work with Cuarteto de Nos, Hermes Croatto, Mima, Canina and Elsa y Elmar. In addition, he has been nominated for Album of the Year as he produced “Ya No Somos Los Mismos” by Elsa y Elmar. In 2023 Eduardo was nominated for the Latin Grammy as Producer of the Year and Best Alternative Album with “MARTÍNEZ” and second solo album. With these recent nominations, Cabra added a 51 nomination record in his career (of which 7 have been as producer of the year) and has extended his record as the most-nominated artist/producer in Latin Grammy history.
